Caroline Meets Santa

On October 30th, we met Santa and Mrs. Claus at Sandy O'Dells and boy was it fun. (YES we met Santa before Halloween AND Thanksgiving but thats how you do it these days in order to get cards out in time!) We did Sandy's "Christmas Mini" and I was pretty nervous about how she would react to Santa, but it turned out wonderful! Mrs. Sandy doesn't mess around when she wants good pictures…she knows what she is doing.

We have decided not to go present crazy with Caroline this Christmas for two reasons:
1) Her birthday is in February!
2) For the obvious- she will only be ten months old!
An added third reason:
3) Her nana buys her something every time they go to Wal-Mart while I'm at work. :)

Being a newer mother brings something so special to the holidays, especially at Christmas. I feel that I can so closely relate to Mary and can't imagine everything she went through, much less being the mother to the Savior of the world. This Christmas I am holding perspective ever-so-closely and remembering the real reason behind all of the hustle and bustle…the birth of Jesus.

"She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.”
Matthew 1:21
